New Zealand Murder Mystery Hosts
Choosing the right host can make your murder mystery party much easier to organise. In New Zealand, you can host the party yourself, ask a friend to take on the role, or hire a professional murder mystery host in your area. Our hosts are experienced facilitators who can guide your guests through the mystery and help everyone get involved.
- Host it yourself: The cheapest option and a great choice if you are happy to organise and run the evening yourself.
- Hire a professional host: Find a murder mystery host in your area and contact them directly to discuss your event.
- Find a local performer: Contact a local theatre, drama or public speaking group to find a suitable host.
- What the host does: The host attends your event, gets everyone involved, guides guests through the mystery and helps make sure everyone has a great time.
- When they arrive: Hosts generally arrive after your guests. For a 7pm party, an arrival around 7:30pm to 8pm is often suitable.
- Cost: Host fees vary depending on the location, event and travel required. Discuss the full cost with your chosen host before booking.
- Game supplied separately: Your host does not provide the Go Murder Mystery game. You order your game separately from Go Murder Mystery.
- Number of guests: One host can generally manage around 60 guests. Larger events may require an additional host or assistant.
- Costumes: Hosts will generally dress up for the occasion, but discuss any specific costume requirements with your host.
- Important: Go Murder Mystery provides the host list as a courtesy. These hosts are independent and are not employed by Go Murder Mystery, so you should discuss your requirements directly with your chosen host.
