FAQ
How many people do I need for a murder mystery game?
Boxed games are for 9 to 60 or 61 to 120 people.
Downloadable games are for 1 to 15, 16 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 120, 120 to 300 or 301 to 600 people.
How long does a murder mystery party take?
A typical murder mystery party lasts between 2 and 3 hours, depending on the game format, number of players, and how quickly guests engage with the mystery. Smaller groups often finish closer to 2 hours, while larger groups may take up to 3 hours as more players interact and share clues.
Do my guests have to act?
Absolutely not! No acting experience is required. Players can participate at their own comfort level. If the murder mystery places participants in groups this is even better. The more gregarious players can take the spotlight while the more reserved players can share clues or sleuth away in the background.
What if I have an odd number of guests or last-minute dropouts?
Our games are super flexible and allow characters to be removed or reassigned easily so the game can continue even if a player drops out. You will never need to worry about last minute cancellations.
Does the murderer know they are the murderer?
No, but they play the game the same as everyone else. The murderer is a specific character that the host will pick at the start of the night but that person does not know they are the murderer.
Our experience has shown that this is the better strategy. When someone knows they are the murderer they often act "nervous" or "different" and this can cause people to choose them just by how they are acting. We want everyone to enjoy the game whether they are the murderer or not.
Can the host play too?
Yes!
Our games come with a step by step run sheet that guides you through every part of the game. The murderer is only identified in the full story so you can keep the game spoiler free until everyone finds out.
Are the games suitable for work functions?
Yes. Murder mystery games are popular for Norman corporate events because they encourage communication, teamwork, and participation.
Do you sell murder mystery games in Norman?
Yes! We have been selling murder mystery games in Norman since 1990.
You can access your games in 2 main formats:

What is an ideal murder mystery venue in Norman?
| Group Size | Players | Typical Venues |
|---|---|---|
| Small Groups | 1 to 15 People | You could host a murder mystery party at home in Norman, in the office, or at a venue like The Depot. |

How much time does it take to prepare?
If you want to use the run sheet and just go for it then the preparation time is zero!
If you want to feel confident as the presenter you should set aside at least 2 hours to get ready.
Boxed games have no preparation required but downloadable games will take about 45 minutes to print and cut up.
